Happy 6 month Birthday Sam!
This week we celebrated Sam's 1/2 year birthday! I made a 1/2 a cake and we ate off of 1/2 plates (except grandpa... that would be messy) and had 1/2 goody bags and only filled our cups 1/2 full. We had 1/2 sized burgers for dinner and had 1/2 chocolate 1/2 vanilla ice cream to go with our cake. It was a lot of fun and it turned out great.
Sam loved the little flickering candle and wanted to get real close but we helped him blow it out. He got some really cool stuff for summer too.
He got a new stroller to go to the park in... it's an all terrain jogging stroller (not that I will be jogging mind you... yuck) But it will work better on the trails at Greenwell better than the one we have and a really cool feature is that it has speakers on it and a place to hook up the ipod or cd player so we can listen to music as we walk... or maybe a book on tape! He also got some sunglasses (very cool) and a pool hat and a pair of flip flops! He'll be set for summer.
We can't believe how much he's grown. It seems like just yesterday we brought him home from the hospital. Sam's an amazing little boy (at least to us he is). He loves to play and smiles most of the time. He's just got a very laid back disposition. In the past week he's learned to roll over and continue to roll... I've put him on the floor and left to get him some socks and he was half way across the room... this is a little scary for us as we'll soon have to "baby proof" a few things. He's eating baby food twice a day and he does not like peaches... no way no how. John sneaks him ice cream every once in a while and he loves that... but who wouldn't. In short we are very blessed and can't wait to see what summer holds for our family. We are taking a trip down south and plan to go camping. Also as the weather gets warmer and it becomes pool time we'll be getting Sam in the water. Yay!
